Elementary Classroom
The RELATE Project

At the RELATE project, we believe in Recognizing Excellence in Learning and Teaching. Excellence stems from classroom climates that are grounded in social-emotional well-being and that prioritize high-quality social relationships.

Bringing expertise from education, psychology, and social-emotional learning, we work with educators to create quality relationships that support student learning.

Our work focuses on both adult-adult relationships (teachers, teacher assistants, and parents) and adult-child relationships.

Social and Emotional Learning

Social and Emotional Learning, or SEL, refers to the modeling and learning of an interrelated set of cognitive, affective, and behavioral competencies that support our capacity to learn, develop and maintain mutually supportive relationships, and be physically and psychologically healthy.
